Sad-sack Ovidiu, 35, single and still living with his parents, belongs to Bucharest's "beggars with a degree" class. Help arrives in the form of a "foundation", "Filantropica", headed up by the mysterious, fiendishly entrepreneurial Don Pepe. Overnight, the middle-aged teacher finds himself "married" to Miruna, Pepe's own assistant. Every night, he and his fake wife become partners in a strange act. With the cash thus earned, Ovidiu can play the nouveau-riche and impress Diana on weekends.
Neindemaneticul Ovidiu, ajuns la varsta de 35 de ani, singur si locuind inca cu parintii, apartine clasei "cersetorilor cu diploma" din Bucuresti. Ajutorul apare sub forma unei "fundatii", "Filantropica", condusa de misteriosul si maleficul antreprenor Don Pepe. Peste noapte, profesorul se trezeste "casatorit" cu Miruna, asistenta lui Pepe. In fiecare nospte, el si falsa lui sotie devin parteneri intr-o activitate ciudata. Cu banii adunati astfel, Ovidiu poate juca rolul proaspatului imbogatit, impresionand-o pe Diana in weekend-uri.
